Kathy Simons

President

Kathy Simons President of LKG-CMC, Inc. has been with the firm since 1991. She started her career with the firm in South Florida developing the Southeast region. Following 12 successful years in that region she became a Vice President. In 1998 Kathy became Chapter President for the Tri-County region of WTS South Florida serving 2 consecutive years and revitalized and tripled membership. In 2005 she moved to Southern California to join LKG’s corporate headquarters in Glendale Ca as President. Her outstanding organizational skills and knowledge of the business have been instrumental in the firm’s continued success. In March of 2011 founder Louise K Garside sold her shares and Kathy Simons became the new sole owner of LKG.

In 2012 Kathy became a Board of Director of the Glendale Chamber of Commerce, and in 2013 was elected as a Vice President and that Year’s Woman of the Year. In support of the Chambers many business and community outreach the Chamber Board Transportation Committee Chair in support of promoting efforts of transportation to enhance the community’s viability in the region. In 2016 She became the Glendale Chamber chair for a one year tenure. In 2017-2018 Kathy became WTS-LA President with a strategic plan to meet the demands of the transportation industry as a leading women’s organization in the region.

Claudia Elliott

Vice President

Claudia Elliott has expertise in document control, configuration management, design review coordination, contract administration, claims mitigation and administration, grants management, project management, administration, oversight and quality assurance control. With over 30 years of experience, Ms. Elliott’s current projects include FTA Project Management Oversight assignments. Ms. Elliott is the immediate past chair of the APTA Capital Projects Committee. She holds a certificate from the Construction Specifications Institute as a Certified Construction Documents Technologist.

Christina Garside

Human Resources Representative

Vice President

Christina Garside joined LKG in February 2011 as the Business Development Facilitator for Florida. During her time in this position, Mrs. Garside was an active member of the Society for Marketing in Professional Services (SMPS) and served as the WTS‐Tampa Bay Chapter Secretary for three consecutive terms. As the H.R. Representative, Ms. Garside is responsible for the design and administration of Human Resource policies and procedures, including collecting and analyzing Human Resource data and making recommendations to management.

Prior to joining LKG, Ms. Garside held a Customer Service Management position for 23 years and was active in Human Resource initiatives including recruitment/retention measures, developing personnel policies along with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and creating / administrating training materials throughout the organization. Ms. Garside holds an MBA in Management from Rockhurst University, as well as, an MS in Business Education from Emporia State University.

Diane Pierson, PMP

Project Controls

Vice President

Diane Pierson has over 29 years of experience developing, integrating and implementing project controls and project maagement. She effectively encompasses the people, process and tools into a cohesive and usable system to execute the program or project delivery. Her involvement and leadership includes developing the project controls organization; recruiting for all positions; developing & rolling out the project controls practice guide; implementing the project delivery framework; implementation of new/improved business processes; and implementation & integration of systems & tools such as Primavera P6, Unifier and document/contract management applications.

Upon implementation, Ms. Pierson’s systems ensure better management, tracking, and reporting on all projects/programs to ensure the successful management of scope, schedule, & budget for all projects – in addition to the ultimate goal of assisting all stakeholders with timely information to effectively make decisions.

Ms. Pierson has proven her skills through extensive experience setting up and managing project controls for both public and private companies. She understands how to effectively communicate with all stakeholders in order to be successful. Strong communications and passionate drive will make her an asset and success to your team.
